Maximum RAM size??

Does anybody know if there is any limit on how big RAM memory you can have on a linux running RH 7.3 with the 2.4.19 kernel??. i´m for the moment using 4gb but see the need of putting in another 2gb to 6gb. Does anybody know??

Regards

It's not hard at all. Just recompile the kernel and set the High Memory Support to 64 GB.

I'd guess that is different from distro to distro, but I don't think any of them uses the 36 GB option. It's located under Processor Type and Features.

Default for Red hat is 4.0 The setting I think is Under general settings. Just vi the .config file in /usr/src/kernel verson. Really easy to find
