Does anybody know if there is any limit on how big RAM memory you can have on a linux running RH 7.3 with the 2.4.19 kernel??. i´m for the moment using 4gb but see the need of putting in another 2gb to 6gb. Dolda2000 Linux Guru Join Date: Oct 2001 Location: Täby, Sweden Posts: 7,578	I'd guess that is different from distro to distro, but I don't think any of them uses the 36 GB option. It's located under Processor Type and Features.

Default for Red hat is 4.0 The setting I think is Under general settings. Just vi the .config file in /usr/src/kernel verson. Really easy to find
