Ok i'm d/ling FC3 off the main site I know that should do a check sum with the "MD5SUM" but I have come to the realization that i have frelling clue what to do.

There's a program called md5sum that generates that values. I guess there's a version for Windows, too. You launch it by simply typing:

md5sum file_name

Next compare the value you got to that on the site.

next time i think it would be better to create a new thread instead of appending to an old thread .

you use checksum to check if the file you downloaded is no broken during the download process. the person who created the file generally calculates a checksum and post it with the file. so when you download the file you re-calculate the checksum and see if it matches the one posted by the author. if it matches the download is good if not you know that its broken.
