Microsoft COM objects in Linux

Hi all,

I'm an IT developer, and my company is planning to migrate some applications developed in M$ Visual Studio to Linux. My first problem is that the main classes of the app are COM objects, and I don't know what's the better way, or if there's an equivalence in Linux.

¿Some help?

Thanks in advance

Rafa

To a good extent - MONO is the preferred .NET Linux application development platform..

Maybe... I've read somthing about mono, and also about CORBA.

In fact, de app is not developed in .net, so I don't know if the COM objects are the same in DCOM than in .net.

Do you know if corba is still supported, and if the different implementations of CORBA are still used? All the information I've found is very old.
