does anyone know if there is anything on linux that is like visual basic.

should have mentioned im using KDE. will that work in KDE i guess i can look and see on if it will work.

edit: i found Kbasic www.kbasic.org thanks kriss you pushed me to look into kde and see if they had one as well. i will check out the gnome basic after i take a look at KBasic

yeah i still havent gotten around to it i should be able to this week the last 3 weeks hjave been pretty busy. my little bro was in town so i was only at my cmputer an hour or so a day and i spent that talking to ppl on msn. but i will try it this week some time and let you know this next weekend

Have you tryed a 'google' with string combinations like 'basic linux' etc.

I can remember doing that not to long ago for qbasic i think. I quite like that basic. Anyhow, google came up with a qbasic IDE for linux. I didn't follow it through though so i carn't really say much about it.

Don't mean anything negative here but,
why do 'vb' when you can have 'C'.

C can be a bit harsh to people who just want to test out some programming languages, as they often prefer *basic. Also, I think that big_k works as a VB programmer so maybe it would be very handy?

Have you tried Gambas Shrine?
