Unhappy how to break grub password
Hi

I forget my grub password. so that when i want to go into single user mode from the grub stage. but i can't so that i want to brak that password like root password. So that help to break that password, Please.

Boot up from any LiveCD and mount / ( /boot, if you have one ). Open boot/grub/menu.lst ( or grub.conf ) file and put # sign before 'password --md5 <password-hash>' line.
Code:

#password --md5 <password-hash>
Save file and reboot machine. GRUB wont prompt for password.
