Privacy question...

If I am on a network and we go through a firewall and it logs traffic, is there a way to surf the web more discreetly.

I can use a proxy right?

ps: Don't get me wrong, it is not that I am looking at bad things, just don't want some things, or rather all things logged.

IMO there's nothing wrong with wanting to surf anonymously. I've used Tor with considerable success, but like it says on their website, nothing is perfect. It works very well, but tends to slow down your speed when online. If you have plenty of bandwidth this probably isn't an issue.
