It's telling you that those files may have been changed. The change could well be OK if you updated recently. Have you run an update, particularly on some of your base OS files?
If so, and you're happy that they are OK you can runThis will update Rkhunter's db of these files and stop the warnings. But you need to be comfortable that you made genuine changes.

Thanx very much Peteh. Yes I always update trough rkhunter --update and I also checked if my version was the latest, and it is 1.3.2.
So the version itself didnt need a update, But ever since the last updates trough synaptic, some months ago, I get these warnings.

I ran the updater now and see that the warnings still are there.

You're getting the warnings because of the synaptic updates you did. Whenever you do the synaptic updates run "rkhunter --propupd" as I described, so rkhunter will recognise the changes.
If you run "rkhunter --help" or "man rkhunter" you will see the various commands.

I used to see these warnings all the time with Fedora 7, but a little bit of googling taught me that they were quite normal. Frankly, I don't think it's good that a rootkit checker teaches you to ignore warnings, but that's the way it is....

Thank U so much for yer good advises OZ. I was familiar with --help in rkhuntre, but the other comands U gave me are new for me. Thats why I asked if ther might be a list with comands, (besites rkhunter, that is.) I will do what U advised me and maybe its smart to first reinstal rkhunter and then give the update command again no?

Anyway, thank U very much and also Smolloy to asure me that all is probably save. I will do that googling and see what else comes out.
