Lightbulb Alternative to the script command ... ???

Hi,

We are wanting to have some sort of a Linux/UNIX evaluation and want to be able to trap commands ran by the prospective candidate?

We've thought about inserting the script command in the login profile. That seems to work even though there is some binary character on the output of the script command and it does seem a little bit out of whack if the user uses vi.

Is there anyway around this or is there an alternative to using the script command?

Any response will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check out 'rootsh', usually used with Sudo, it might give you what you need.
It logs all output/commands etc to file or syslog.
