i have read an article also in pcplus (issue 205 i can't find it on the site) about a new version of microsoft called "longhorn" which is set to come out in 2005 which may incorporate these new proccessors. its meant to be a "revolution" os...
but anyway does anyone have any comments?

From what I've heard, M$ isn't jumping on the 64-bit bandwagon with Longhorn. And probably won't until their butt budies over at Intel decide that 64-bit is the wave of the future for desktop computing, though by then AMD will be kicking arse and taking names in that area.

this says that ms will support the amd 64 (hammer), but it mite be a rumor. i havent looked into it to hard i will look more when i get home from work.

it links to the currently new features, and missing. Remember, it's in beta, so by release it'll probably have all hte missing features...
