Linspire Gets Windows Gaming Technology

Quote:
San Diego-based Linspire and Tornoto-based TransGaming said this week that the companies have released new technology that allows gamers to play Microsoft Windows games on Desktop Linux. I'm a little curious as to what this means...

I mean, I run Gentoo and Cedega...

So does this mean that Cedega is now available through Point N' Click? Or that a new, Linspire-exclusive version of Cedega is available? Because unless the latter, I fail to see anything exciting here...

I read up on this a bit and It just looks like there is a different subscriptiion for Linspire users, giving them a year subscription through CNR rather than a monthly one. I can't imagine that Cedega became perfect overnight and then decided only to share with Linspire users anyway.

It sounds like a marketing scam/ploy of sorts that just makes it sound like an exclusive deal.
