Linuxforums.org now has a folding@home team. The team # is 44942 if you would like to participate in saving the world one gene at a time through a linux box. Currently, Microsoft is dominating the OS field, and will probably continue to, but us linux users can make our presence felt. Also, its going to a great cause. I get the point of folding@home, but I don't get the point of having a 'team'.

its working with the whole competitive point system that can really drive people to try and excel at it while theres no reward beyond the little prestige associated with a top 100 position and personal satisfaction, for alot of people, they will run extra cycles purely out of competitive spirit.
