Microsoft Unveils Official Name for “Longhorn”
Well, the time has finaly come. The new version of Microsoft Windows is now officialy named Windows Vista. Follow the link below to Microsofts website for the press release.

On the other hand Longhorn does bring to mind this guy

so perhaps they changed it because they didn't want to be
too obvious

Why else was microsoft on Google under Root of all Evil?

here's the equation (forgot where I found it)
