problem with media sources

hi everyone i was trying to download gcc4.3 but it always fails asking me to update the media sources and its the same after i update all of my sources which are:-
plf-free
plf-free_backports
main
main updates
main testing
main backports
contrib
contrib updates
contrib testing
contrib backports
non-free
non-free
non-free updates
non-free testing
non-free backports
plf-nonfree
plf-nonfree_backports

exits with wget error code 1

what else should i do for the basic package that gcc is?

Have you installed Mandriva 2008.1 from DVD or just CD? I have installed gcc4.3 from DVD and I don't remember any complains. But if your system keeps refusing the download, you can do it manually from RPM Search webpage:

thanks for your reply.actually i did install from the dvd but i use online repositories.still i'll try it again and if it doesnt work ill go for your suggestion but i may have to face the dependency hell.lets see.

I've checked it once again. gcc is in the "main" section of the Mandriva 2008 Spring DVD.
