Unhappy I need Help Atheros AR5007EG Wireless

I have the LG R405 NoteBook
& i inistall Mandriva-Linux-free-2009-dvd-i586

my wireless Adupter is Atheros AR5007EG

How to connect to a network?
i do'nt know how to make it active ?
How to found networks?

I'm pretty sure the Mandriva One version comes with this driver preinstalled. The free version doesn't include any non-free software. If you can get online with an ethernet connection, you should be able to add the non-free repos and download the driver. I believe you need the madwifi drivers. madwifi-project.org - Trac

Why do you need to install from source? You can get the madwifi drivers, as I mentioned above, by adding the non-free repositories and using urpmi, or by downloading the rpm. RPM Search Installing and removing software - Mandriva Community Wiki RPM Search madwifi-0.9.4-3.r3835mdv2009.0.x86_64.rpm

mandriva comes preloaded with all atheros drivers
open the hardware manager and it should preinstall the package directly
it worked in mine
the only issue im having is that it wont conect to my wifi network
