[SOLVED] Is there a way to remove desktop icons (trash,computer, etc) in mandriva one

Hello all:
I have recently returned to using mandriva after using mint for six or so months it has been a bit but removing the default desktop icons I am having problems with right click>delete won't do it any suggestions?

Try dragging them to the Trashcan.

I tried that no dice

I gave it a shot the problem is one of them is the trash can the error details are delete path not specified but thank you

Problem solved!!

I found the solution in a fedora forum
alt+f2> enter gconf-editor> run in the left side panel select nautilus>desktop untick the computer_icon_visible> trash_icon... etc
