mandriva 2006 nvidia server problems

I thought i had my nvidia driver problem solved, but apparently not. I am running mandriva on the nvidia driver, but 3d support doesnt work (geforce 6200 agp). nvidia-settings does not give any clear solutions. i dont know if it matters, but i managed to play a dvd on it without any problems.

same problem

I have a similar problem: after installing the nvidia drivers, my x doesn't start.... the error lines end with "no screen found". However, I am able to load x after changeing the Driver "nvidia" to Driver "nv" in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
If anybody has an idea, pls share. I have a Geforce 4 MX 440 on a Mandriva 2006 system. (I managed to install (without any problems) the driver in Fedora Core 4)
