Change to the directory where ventrilo is located. For example: cd /home/freddykruger Then unpack the source files (they are in a compressed format at the moment). Try tar -zxvf ventriloscript-v2.1.0_02.tar.gz ...

Change to the directory where ventrilo is located. For example:

    cd /home/freddykruger

Then unpack the source files (they are in a compressed format at the moment). Try tar -zxvf ventriloscript-v2.1.0_02.tar.gz .

Then cd to the directory containing ventrilo's source files.

There should be a file called INSTALL which is worth reading. Try cat INSTALL. Don't worry if that file isn't present. Generic instructions for compiling from source are:

    ./configure
    make
su <become root just before this last stage>
    make install
    exit

You have to have a compiler installed (called gcc) and make must also be installed. If not then: urpmi make and urpmi gcc. Don't be surprised if you need to install other packages though. Source installs are a bit of a pain for new users sometimes.

When you say change to the directory that ventrilo is located... do you mean the folder named 'Ventrilo' that i created that has nothing in it? Because the tar.gz file is just sitting on my desktop. And im not sure how to move this file into a folder because it says I am not allowed to change the files in the 'Filesystem' folder.

You need to replace "PROGRAM" with the name of the program you want to run, such as Solitaire.exe or cstrike16install.exe.
