Itīs such a petty issue. The question of forgiveness doesnīt arise only. After all, you have tried to help me out & I should be thankful for that & of course, I am.

Yes, I did start Apache & could even view a HTML file which resides in the server. That means Apache has been installed successfully; something is missing when Apache serves PHP files.

Can you please help me resolve this isuue? Today is the 5th day I am trying to overcome this problem! Believe me - my hairline has receded by 5 inches in these 5 days!

    Thanks once again,

    Regards,

    Ron

You probably need to edit your httpd.conf and add
    Code:
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml
    AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
You also need to check whether "index.php" is listed in the DirectoryIndex section.

You would have saved yourself a lot of time and effort by installing AMP using Mandriva packages through the package manager.
