I'm new on the forum and new to the Linux so I would apreciate every help. My problem in Mandriva 2007 is that linux kernel doesn't recognize my sound card and there is no sound. I already tryed installing alsa 1.0.14 driver, utils and lib but nothing works. I ran alsaconf in terminal and the installer wizard tells me taht driver is installed but the soun doesnt work. If i try to unmute volume with alsamixer i get error saying that there is no such device. My sound card is MCP61 High Definition Audio. If you need any more information please tell me what and i will post it. Thanks
