Install RT61 (ralink) modified chipset wifi drivers under Mandriva Linux
i need help, im a linux newbie and i need to update my default drivers with these: rt61 [Aircrack-ng]
when im following the commandline shown in the link my mandriva linux doesnt know the command make or make install.. any idea how to update the wifi card drivers??

If you are missing the make command, then you can install it by doing
or using the GUI software installer. You may also need to install the kernel-source package if you are going to be compiling kernel modules.Code:#urpmi make

when im in shell and logged as root, "urpmi make" doesnt work for me
im running live CD with the 2007 srping version with no HDDs connected

The live cd does not have development tools. You could go to easyurpmi and setup the main repo and then do "urpmi make". If you reboot, then you will lose all changes and will have to go through the procedure again.
