An annoying bit of horror

Question 1:

Whenever I press the fourth letter of the English alphabet '|)', an annoying menu pops up asking me if I want to Start a new session(with a re|) rocket ship icon next to it,) Lock current & start a new session (with a lock icon next to it) or I can resume my current session.

Being a linux/man|)riva beginner, I currently have no clue how or what to |)o.


Question 2:
I'm trying to install the NVi|)ia |)rivers, an|) accor|)ing to the rea|)me file, I'm suppose|) to exit the X server and terminate all OpenGL applications, but I have no clue as to how I woul|) go about |)oing this.

Any help with any of my questions will be greatly appreciate|).

Is there a way that I can do a system recovery from a previous date? I'm getting tired of this whole 'd' issue in which I can't even touch it on my keyboard. (I currently have it copied and paste it whenever I need to input a d.)
