Installing Mozilla Firefox
I have mandriva linux system and I want to install mozilla firefox that i downloaded from mozilla web site..how could i install mozilla firefox because my mandriva linux dont have firefox because i removed the default firefox installation from my system..

Get the Install Package or the Source.
Either using another Computer as the downloader or using wget or using another browser or a Package System.

Extract downloaded package and it will create FireFox folder. Open that folder and double-click on 'firefox' file. Does FireFox pop up? If yes, create Shortcut of firefox file on Desktop and/or add an entry in Menu.
In case Firefox doesn't pop up, Open Terminal, cd to Firefox folder and execute firefox command. Post error message here, if any.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

You might also want to consider setting up URPMI. It makes installing software under Mandriva a lot simpler.
You can use Easy URPMI to make the setup easier:

I cd to firefox and run the firefox command here is the error message..
/usr/local/firefox/firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Install libstdc++ through urmpi.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
