    urpmi or tar?

    I want to install Mysql, PHP, Apache etc onto my linux machine and just wondered what the best method for obtaining and installing is, the urpmi packages or downloading tarballs from the respective websites? Is there a difference?

    URPMI is generally easier to work with for most lesser experienced Linux users. If you have experience with tarballs, you might like that method better.
