Mandriva 2008 root login help
it seems that mandriva doesn't like me as root.
i just made a fresh install, set up root password and so on, but just when i've started -i bumped into problem. i can't log in as root.
inside the konsole, typing sudo -i and all the other combos, password is required and given. but no matter what, it's not recognized...
i've tried to reset and set a new one, but nothing so far - stuck with the root/sudo password

I had this problem once turned out that when I entered it the first time caps lock was on so instead of MyPassword I got mYpASSWORD. Try typing in your password with caps lock on.

my password consists on digits only, so CAPS isn't really the problem here
