Windows installed after linux installation
hey hi every one.. i`m a newbie to this site.. and wat made me come over here is that i`ve got a prob.. i`ve installed windows XP after installing the linux os ..
my version of linux is mandriva 2007... and now the MBR got over written by that of windows`s.. Is there a way to get back the linux Operating system;
I`ve tried to my best but all i could find on the web was to use GAG 4.9 (graphical boot manager) ..i don`t have floppy drive . so i aint able to install tha t..
gWARSh!! can some body out there help me out please .. lz i`m in big trouble..

Sometimes GRUB doesn't boot Windows OSes installed in Partition other than First Primary Partition. Its BIOS/GRUB compatibility problem. Try SuperGRUB CD as suggested by budman7.
In case, it doesn't work, boot up from any LiveCD and execute fdisk -l command in Terminal/Konsole and post output here. You have to configure Windows Boot Loader to setup Dual Boot.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
