Parted Magic and ext3 filesystem
Well, it seems to me that it isn't possible to resize the ext3 partition, if I have already a Linux installed. Parted Magic is a live Linux CD with Gparted. I've booted it. I don't know why, but it didn't want to resize my ext3 partition. I wanted to cut 5GB space to create an ntfs partition. It had been working for 1.5 an hours, and after that I got error message with no explanation. It have left my hard disk intacted. What's the point ? Why is so hard to resize a partition ?
If you need a CD/DVD catalogizer, give a try to my program:

Are you saying it won't shrink your current partition(s)?

Yes, I have 50GB of ext3 partition with 25GB used place. I want to shrink it to 45GB and to create ntfs on the unused space.

Parted Magic should be able to handle that with ease. Are you sure you got a good burn on the CD?
You could also try the Gparted LiveCD:
GParted -- LiveCD
Just wondering... is the 25 GB unallocated space, or unused space on the 50GB partition?oz
