Problems with Sound Blaster Live 24 card.

Help please,
I have a MSI mb with a integrated sound card and on which I installed a SB live 24 card which works fine under windows with no problem.
my rig dual boots, and Mandriva 2007 will not use the SB card. I can see both cards in alsamixer, but I'm unable to enable the SB card which is named 'ca0106'. The now integrated was identiifed as CK804 in the hardware manager.

I have disabled the integrated in the BIOS and yet Mandriva will not enable the SB card though I get no error messages when I run sound applications, and when I try to record sound with Audacity, there is no indication of a signal irrespective of the inputs selected. Alsamixer shows the card, identified as ca0106 but I cannot enable any of the channels nor get a peep from my speakers.

I have wondered whether there should be any data in the driver options field for this card, and if so what?

Please keep any help relatively simple as I'm capable of setting up and configuring my linux installation but I'm not a lin-expert yet, I am however a quick learner.
