mandriva 2008 eth0 default setup
Dear gang,
Could someone tell me a simple way to set up eth0 as the default network connection at boot time>? I try to set it up while in network manager, but each time i boot back up it finds eth1 and connects to it instead of my eth0 wireless. Both network connections work great but i gotta be able to pack it around...lol.
THANKS A TON for any help...

Hi,
I don't know of any command that make it default according to how the netmanager works, u know it pick out the fast to respond connection which in this case it always the Cable (eth1) so may be what u can do is make eth0 'managed by user' so that u just start it with this command,
# ifconfig eth0 up
Cheers

I suppose i could just un plug the ethernet cable and force it to look for eth0 since it cant find any other connection. I will try what you suggest and see what happens. THANKS.....
