No USB while Booting from Install DVD to DELL XPS410
The monitor shows "Cannot display at this resolution" For optimum performance set video to 1600 x 1200 (or something close to that)
I have been through the BIOS and there is no setting for "Legacy USB"
Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm sorry, I mixed up distros when posting, USB is working fine.
Mandriva boots and loads after selecting install but then displays:
2: Digital Input
cannot display this video mode
optimum resolution 1680 x 1050 60Hz
I will try the analog monitor i/o and post back.
The analog output worked fine, but i cannot get the digital DVI i/o monitor to work.
the hardware listed in mandriva is correct and the monitor settings listed are correct. I could not get access to the scan rate in system setup dialog. I then went into control center and set the correct monitor settings. Now the digital is still not working and the analog monitor is displaying the top left corner of the interface in GIGANTIC preportions and I am in need of a way to edit the boot configuration.
Definatly a newbie and a little out of my league.
What file do I need to edit and how do I get to it?
What editor do i need to use?
Thanks in advance!
