Mounting NFS Drive
I am having trouble mounting my NFS drives.
When I type the command
as root, I get the following message.mount 192.168.0.50:/home/web-sites /home/elija/web-sites
This happens until I try and mount the share through the configure yourmount.nfs: rpc.statd is not running but is required for remote locking
Either use "-o nolocks" to keep locks local, or start statd.
computer system tool.
The system tools fails to find any shares - ever, but once it has tried, the
command line works. Go figure
Anyway, how do I start the rpc.statd at boot time so I can just use the terminal? If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! (Zapp Brannigan)
My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
