    Red face How to Connect internet via Nokia N72 DKU 2 CAble

    i have mandriva 2008 installed. i need internet through Mandriva. I have Nokia N 72 with GPRS. I can access net through my mobile in windows because N 72 is connected through Nokia PC suite. The mobile is connected through DKU 2 cable. i am unable to access my mobile through Mandriva because i do not know any Nokia PC Suite for linux nor I successed to detect my mobile in linux. Please help me if anybody can............

    you can use a program called wvdial or you can use bluetooth dongle
    check this out
    this is for bluetooth but it works the same with cable just connect cable and phone type wvdialconf in terminal as root

    Not working?????????

    still i am not able to connect to internet.....
    when i run wvdial in terminal it gives error like "No such comand found"....
    My mobile is detected as Unknown device with category "Communication Device" to COM4 and when i try for "drakconnect" >analog modem,
    it detects the setting like number to be dialed #99*. But next everything fails as i do not know wat are settings.

    firstly u have to make sure wvdial is installed after that while phone is connected to pc type wvdialconf by the way u have to be root then you have to edit /etc/wvdial.conf put the phone number username and password

    ok i searched net and downloaded wvdial but i think version is mismatching.....
    can anybody give mandriva 2008 compatible wvdial?
    my PC is 1.6 GHz 128 RAM intel machine............
    also i do not know how to install softwares from their source codes......
    hence plz plz plz give wvdial in rpm format if possible...........
    if not, give source code wvdial..........
    i will try with that and if failed , will leave this issue

    it should be available on ur mandriva 2008 dvd install from there
    or you can install this one
    RPM resource wvdial first try the dvd because it will sort out all dependency problems you might have
