    How can I download all packages from a mirror at once? I mean I would download all packages for Mandriva 2008 from main section. How to do the same with a distro other than Mandriva?

    The easiest way is probably to download the .iso image and then depending on what you want to do, either burn it on disc, or just mount the image (read man mount for the details, I can't remember at the top of my head). Usually the distributions release a dvd image which is what you are after as they contain all packages.
