i know the root password but i cant get into the root folder could someone tell me how to get into it with the password?

Welcome to the forums!
Try going to a konsole (look for it in your menu) and enter:
That should put you into your file manager, in root mode.Code:kdesu konqueror
Note that doing this could very likely allow you to make various error(s) in your system files causing your system to no longer work properly, or perhaps not work at all.oz

Kmenu -> System -> File Manager -> File Manager - Super User Mode. Take heed of the advice given above.

It's one really easy way too.
first press ctrl+alt+t to open terminal
Then you write "gksudo nautilus" in terminal
this should bring the root folder up in a new window.
(if you only see a desktop in the folder try pressing ctrl+h too, then you'll see all hidden files.)
