Mandrake 9.2 password help
So let me start with the fact that I'm not that good with Linux. I've tried dabbling in it a few times, and have learned some basic things, but not really enough to help me out.
Anyway... on to my problem - I've got Mandrake 9.2 installed on one of my old computers so I can play around with Linux & get to know different things about it (I've got Ubuntu on another one - no problems there). My problem is that I've forgotten my root password. I've looked around & noticed that it is possible to reset/regain the root password from a boot CD, but I don't have a boot CD for Mandrake right now. Is there any way for a regular user account to reset or regain the root password without this?
Thanks in advance,
Lance.
