GUI not showing in mandriva (solved)

    i am new to mandriva...

i went to install mandriva, it worked perfectly fine... installed my NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT without any problems... i then decided to make my desktop 3D... thats when the problem hit... i cant see the screen anymore, its just white... i can do the 3D cube thing, but its just a white screen showing (or in the case of a cube, a white cube)...

is there any way where i can turn off compiz-fusion (i think its called that)...

    thanks in advance

ok... to solve this problem, i pressed "alt + F2" and then typed "kwin --replace &" and it got me to the proper gui, i then just turned off the 3D desktop...
