Not sure where to find it. I see on this page that they have the 64bit version of 2008-free, but not 2008-one available. Maybe someone will reply that knows where to find it.

    downloading at reseanable speed.

But also i was trying to find 2007 version or 2006 version of mandriva, but i caaaaaaaaaaaaaant! it's frustrating me.

I would suggest you to install 32bit version only even if you have 64bit machine. Check this link.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

still I dont understand why the x86_64 version is given as a dvd iso ? no cd isos there ?
and also what's the difference between a dvd version and a cd version ?

DVD versions usually have more application packages included, and they include the source files.
