How to get a Intel PRO 3946 internal wireless card to pickup wifi
Im New to Linux so all the LINUX pro's forgive me for this.
I just installed Mandriva on my Toshiba and It works fine. I can connect to the internet via the ethernet cable but If I select the Intel Pro 3946 card that is build in, I get a funky error message that says it can not find the file
/usr/sbin/3946d. I looked in the root folder under usr/sbin/...but there was no 3946d file or folder. I did download the driver for Linux off of Intel's website but Im at a lost because unlike window's, Files dont just execute them selves.
Please help. I would love to cure my Windows addition by switching to Linux but wireless is my primary for a network connection. Can someone please help. Thanks
