Exclamation I can't listen thru the headphones...

    Hello all,

First posting here, so please be gentle

I've installed Mandriva 2008 in my Asus A6va laptop, all went well. Even with the vga card, I was amazed with the compatiblity. But then, when I tryed to hear some music with the headphones, nothing happened..

I have already downloaded and installed the latest ALSA drivers, at least, the ones available in the add/remove programs. When opening Kmix, the digital option is not available for me to turn on or off...

    Does this happended to anyone?

    Thanks

What type of sound card do you have (/sbin/lspci | grep -i audio)? Are the volume levels for the headphone unmuted?
