crashing dvd
every time i try and watch a dvd my system crashes. i tried a couple different programs but it always happens. i am using Mandriva 2008 one installed to the hard drive with KDE. i don't know how to go about installing the codecs either. could that be the problem. from what i have read that usually gives you an error and does not make the system crash. any help would be great and thanks to all of you for your help. Please
Please be patient, Mandriva 2008 Spring is out in less than 3 weeks. You can already download the RC2. You don't have the codecs on CD, but you can download it from online repositories, which can be find using Easy Urpmi website. I recommend you to install xine and all of its dependencies. I'm using 2008 Spring Beta1 version without any problems, but still I think you should obtain a DVD version.
If you need a CD/DVD catalogizer, give a try to my program:
