[SOLVED] installing to hard drive
i am trying to install mandriva on a 60gb of left over space that i made during an xp install and i can't get it to install there it has options like clear disc(don't want), the disc im using is good and i can get to the live cd mode and click the icon for live install. a wizard comes up that has the options, clear disc and install, partition now, custom partition wizard. i want the option to go past this step and tell it to install on the space i left during xp install it is unpartitioned space that i want it to format to linux.

Try the custom partition option and then create Linux partitions in the free space.
