    [SOLVED] no disc space on new install


    i installed mandriva on what should be a 60GB partition but when i calculate remaining disc space it says 4.8GB out of 7.7Gb which is now where near what i would like to see
    i got a screen shot of my calculation i did it by opening root and selecting al of the folders and right-click then properties

    based on other questions about partitions i thought i would run fdisk -l

    sorry forgot how linux file systems worked, to much time in windows,
    i was just seeing the system not the user
