    pen drive issue

    hi everybody i have a problem i had a few viruses on my pen drive so for passing data to my friend i had to format it used gparted and deleted the existing partition and created new one now the problem is that gparted always closes prematurely and the write speed to the pen drive is pathetic.....around 60kbps...any solutions?

    I found that using gparted from HD can cause such effects. Try to format the USB using your distro's default partition manager, which is located at its control center.
    It seems to me that gparted is an abandoned development. The same old failures since more than 2 years ago.
