cd rom not found

hi,
I am a beginner user in linux mandriva.
i download one mandriva cd from internet.
it live coming up.
when i want to install it, click on live install.
partition window opened. i partition my hard and click done.
after this step one window shown. the package can not be found.
when i am going to my computer cd rom drive not shown.i have 2 drive. 1.dvd r/w - 2. cd r/w.
when i put a cd in drive the cd rom drive not shown.

plz help me.

Hello,
I am not sure I fully understand what is going on. From what I understand the following happens
1. You boot from the Mandriva One cd
2. You choose "live install"
3. You partition your harddrive
4. The installer fails, claiming it can not find the package
Is this a correct summary of what is happening?

Hi milad erfanian,

Check the image the checksum could be currupt, also check your current (cd - dvd) you just downloaded your image too, have you used the check media option before using the (cd - dvd)?

Try and download the mandriva 2008.0 free image and burn it to another dvd, than try again.
