    rt61/2561 nightmare

    1. rt61/2561 is detected by mandriva 2008.1 but does not detect any networks

    2. loaded ndiswrapper + rt61 drivers now detects networks but will only connect to a neighbours un-encrypted network not my wpa encrypted one although it is detected and set up correctly (works fine suse 10.3).

    any ideas ??

    One thing you could try is uninstall the Mandriva rt2x00 drivers and use the rt61 drivers from Serialmonkey. I had problems with the rt2x00 driver shipped with openSUSE with my rt73 card, but the rt73 based drivers from serialmonkey worked flawlessly.
