help a nubie
just switched to mandriva and am trying to learn how to install proggies.downloaded flashget and looked and cannot find any instructions for installing.went to terminal services and cd to dir and tried to use./configure and did not get anywhere.can anybody lend the nub a hand!!

If your machine has internet access then there is not need to install pacakges from source.
Execute this
to install packages.Code:urpmi <package_name>
Or use easy urpmi.
Check here for detailed instructions on package installation.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
