    Can not send E-mail

    Dear all,


    I am working for an ISP. I tried to send an e-mail with attachment, but was not successful.
    I got the following message:

    .write error

    The system returned :
    (32) broken pipe

    An error condition occurred while writing to the network. Please retry your request.

    Can anyboby help me to sort out this issue.

    It was quite some time since I was doing these things, so forgive me my bad memory.
    I think this is down to you are running a local smtp server on your machine (this in itself is not a problem of course) and that smtp is not configured properly.
    Second possibly the smtp you are talking to (can you send e-mail without attachments?) may not have enough free space to spool your message.
    Possibly a starting point.
    Also worth looking at is what port you are connecting to on the server.
