Mandrake 10 Help? Noob- Sound & Modem Help.

Noob help.

Just installed Mandrake 10. Everything seems to be working fine with the exception of no modem and no sound. (modem is the priority here).


SYSTEM : Toshiba Satellite Notebook Model A65-S126


MODEM

Toshiba Software Modem on COM3

Under XP the driver info is as follows :

Agere -- PCI bus 0, device 20, function 6



SOUND CARD

Realtek AC97 -- PCI bus 0, device 20, function 5

In the mandrake hardware control panel, if you click on configure nothing happens.

Could someone PLEASE give me info on how to get these working. Any driver links and install instructions (remember I'm a Pre-K linux noob) would greatly be apprecated.

Modem - You may have trouble using this under Linux is it's a WinModem, although the Linux drivers have really come a long way. Does it say it's a win modem in your setup? If it is a WinModem, look here:

http://linmodems.org/

It it's not, google for your modem + linux.

Sound - Try to reconfig your sound card, it looks like it should be supported.
