Which desktop environment is better in Mandriva, KDE or GNOME

You really just have to install both, try them and see which one you like best. You'll find as many here who will say Gnome over KDE and vice versa. It's an individual preference. The one that is best is the one YOU like best.

I agree totally with Dapper Dan on this. You need to decide which one is "best for you", and you can only solve the matter with certainty by trying them both, yourself.
The only other thing I consider regarding this with any given distro is, what desktop environment does the distro use by default? I'm of the opinion that the default enviroment might be given more attention and scrutiny by the devs than any alternative environments. Then of course, this might not be the case at all.
Either way, best to test them yourself and make up your own mind rather than letting other users tell you what you should use.
