Hi Bower - is that the entire output of the log? I can see that k3b checked both your DVD/CD-RW devices, and began listing the write speeds of /dev/hdd ... Then it just stops.
I wonder if it has a few problems with hdd? What make is that drive? I don't think k3b can determine the drive's write speed:
Hard to tell, because you can sometimes get quite worrying output messages from applications without them failing.Code:Blockdevice: /dev/hdd Generic device: Vendor: ATAPI Description: DVD D DH16D2P Version: HP53 Write speed: 0 Profiles: Error
Another idea: do you have a disk in your DVD/RW drive when you're starting k3b? I saw the message:
If so,then try removing the disk before starting it.Code:(K3bDevice::Device) unknown dvd media type: 320 (K3bDevice::Device) /dev/hdd: READ TOC/PMA/ATIP invalid length returned: 2
I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso
