Partition Question - new user
Hello,

- I have win2000 on the C: drive and there are some win files on the d:. During the partition portion of the install, the wizard will only allow me to split c: or erase d:, but not split d:. I am ok with using the manual partition, but I have not been able to locate any specific steps that I need to follow...... any solution to the wizard limitation, or guidance on the manual partition steps would be appreciated. I am looking forward to getting linux operational on my system!!

easiest way would be to copy the files from d: to c: then in windows remove the partition for the d and create a new smaller partition to put you files back on to. leave the rest of the drive unpartitioned and the setup should detect that and use un partitioned space
